My Degree, My Country and My World
I am a second year undergraduate student in BIO department of the
Faculty of applied sciences in Rajarata University of Sri Lanka.I am studying Chemistry,
Botany and Biology as my subjects. From these three subjects i'm interested in chemistry,
Because from my childhood i have dream to become a chemist. In my point of view chemistry
is one of the most important fundamental subject that we should explore more and its widely
used in almost of the every field in the current scientific world.
In Sri Lanka now Chemistry playing a major role in industrial productions. In every production we made we have chemicals.
So we can also say that this is the fundamental of lots of productions. Chemistry degree
have a great value in nowadays jobs. If we think about food and beverage side they also use
chemistry and also apparel side. So in Sri Lanka lots of chemistry degree holders works
for production side. The whole structure of the product depend on chemicals.
So we can do lot of experiments to develop our Sri Lankan productions to the next level.
But in our country payments for those jobs are less. That is the main problem we have to face.
But in the world their is so many opportunities for a chemistry degree. In countries like Australia, New Zealand, UAE
there are so many vacancies for talented chemistry degree holders. Those countries produce
chemical side products in large scale. Those companies have so many factories for those.
So we have to migrate to those countries for do those jobs. In the world their is very big demand
for chemists.
And also we can solve some of the problems in our country by using knowledge on chemistry.
the biggest problem is that water pollution. We can search solutions for those from chemistry.
By my degree i can serve for my country and the world. That's why I love my degree.
