My degree, My country, My world

I’m a second year undergraduate student in the faculty of applied sciences, Rajarata university of Sri Lanka. I hope to study chemistry, botany and zoology for another one year under BSc (general biology). But I’m planning to continue my studies on chemistry further more. As I think chemistry is one of the fundamental subject that we should explore more and it is widely used almost in every field in the current world. Gaining more knowledge on this, would help to uplift my country and my world.
A graduate is an individual who has gained a good knowledge and good attitudes. He can serve to the country and the world in a great way. The government spends a lot to create a graduate and all the Sri Lankans have a right for the money that government spends. So it is a responsibility of a graduate to serve poor people of this country and make a better place for them.
For an example, I can explore more knowledge on chemistry under my graduate programme and there are so many ways to serve this country with that knowledge. There are so many epidemic diseases that a cure has not been invented. Medications can be made with the knowledge that we gain and it would help not only our country but the entire the world. At the same time, we can invent lot of alternate products for toxic chemicals that we currently use. We can produce environment healthy products as alternatives for plastics, polythene and minimize the environmental pollution by introducing healthy ways to dispose garbage.
Compromising global water stores is one of the major problem that we are facing currently. With the knowledge on chemistry we may be able to find some solutions for this, which helps the whole world. Inventing a cost effective alternative for petroleum would save money and we can use that money for other processes to develop the country.
There is a very big demand for chemistry and we can get together with people in developed countries to use our knowledge and develop better products in order to make the world a better place for the whole mankind.
