My Degree My country My world

Welcome to my VERY FIRST blog Post.

I am a student from Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. I follow the Information and Communication Technology course. the short form ➜ ICT. There are very few Degree courses related on this field which are offered by government universities in Sri Lanka. I am very lucky to be one of it's student. ICT the most popular and trending field in the world. It is a field which has affected to the every other field. My degree program is helping me to understand this field and become a expert in it.

Nowadays in Sri Lanka, ICT is being used almost everywhere, and has helped to make lives very much easier and with a less cost. And also it has created thousands of new job opportunities. And also has changed the directions of lots of fields. Because of this, lots of people are getting interested about this field. This field has become one of the best fields which brings the highest income to Sri Lanka. Because of the new technologies, it has given the ability to do many of the company based tasks to do at home. the area can be within a district ,within two or more disticts in Sri Lanka, or within few countries in the world. Nothing is affected to the distance change. So people in Sri Lanka can work in the companies abroad.

Because of this field, the world has become a small place. People in 21st century do many things which couldn't even imagine to the history. ICT has helped people to make a better world. And it will be constantly continuing  with human race.

MY DEGREE ,MY COUNTRY, MY WORLD Degree is a any justification for the job market but it is not sufficient. Because the new world is very advanced and competitive. So if we need a good job, we may have load of qualifications. So my degree is BSc. General in Applied science (Biological Science). My target is finding a good job. I’m following Bachelor of Information and Technology in Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. It is generally a three year degree program and, if any student wish to follow four year special degree that student can follow it according to their GPA value. During these three years I have to learn many subjects. Some of them are Web technology, Internet programming, Software engineering etc. In my degree program I’m allowing to learn not only ICT related subjects, but also subjects like Marketing, Professional English which are related to other fields. Actually it is a good guidance to my future life. In Sri Lanka, there are so many IT companies that we can give our service and get a high salary such as Millennium IT, WSO2, Vertusa Polaris. But that’s not my idea in future. I want to create a company to make software’s to make our day-to-day works easy. From that, we can take IT to everyone in Sri Lanka.
