My Degree, My Country, My World
          The sole dream oh my life was to become an engineer.As I was talented in mathematics I chose maths stream for my advanced level examination. Even though I couldn't enter to the engineering faculty due to many ups and downs that I had to face when I was sitting to the exam,I was selected for the course of Applied Sciences in Rajarata University.At the beginning I was so worried as I could't accomplish my dream of becoming an engineer.But now i'm not anymore worried about it and I decided to modify my childhood dream of becoming just an engineer into a software engineer.

          I found my that I have an interest in computer science too.So I am working hard to complete my academic carrier with best results and its my final aim to get selected far an special degree.Since my degree which is Bachelor of Sciences will not be enough to fulfill my final target,I am doing a parallel software engineering degree and I hope it will help me to achieve my target soon.
        I don' t have very big dreams in my future.Once i am stable in my carrier as an software engineer,i suppose to use all my skills and creative ideas to render a maximum service to my occupation and to my country.And I my uttermost target is to carry something to the whole world in the name of my country in this field.Therefore I always think about that ultimate goal of my academic carrier whenever I am bored and fed up with study matters.And it will be a pleasure to me and my country if I could do something valuable for the whole world and I myself believe that it is the best thing that a citizen can do to make his country proud of him.

It is generally a three year degree program and, if any student wish to follow four year special degree that student can follow it according to their GPA value. During these three years I have to learn many subjects. Some of them are Web technology, Internet programming, Software engineering etc. In my degree program I’m allowing to learn not only ICT related subjects, but also subjects like Marketing, Professional English which are related to other fields. Actually it is a good guidance to my future life. In Sri Lanka, there are so many IT companies that we can give our service and get a high salary such as Millennium IT, WSO2, Vertusa Polaris.
