My Degree My Country My World

One day early in the morning I heard the ringing of the bell of our postman, and I quickly ran  and got the letter with full of curiosity. When I see the cover of the letter I felt very happy ,because that was from the University Grants Commission. And I saw that I have selected for the Applied Science Faculty in Rajarata University of Sri Lanka to follow the BSc. degree in Applied Biology.   So I was very happy.
 Because I got that great chance to follow that degree. Also it was a my dream. when I went to the university I had the chance to select  three subjects from the following. Computer Science, Botany ,Zoology, Chemistry and Physics were those subjects. From looking at the prospectus I got an idea on the importance of following a such degree. All the subjects mentioned above are doing a great role in my country and also in my world. All of them are science subjects.I am following that degree until now from last year, because there are several path ways that I'll can join in future. The qualifications which we get by following a such degree provide many opportunities , and also many job vacancies.Lecturers, teachers, bank managers are few posts that I can get after following this degree.
So I think through the vacancies that we can get from our degree we have the ability to be good employers, in many sections which are useful in the future of the country and also in the world. Today the world is  well developed. I think my degree can help to the world for furthermore development.

It is generally a three year degree program and, if any student wish to follow four year special degree that student can follow it according to their GPA value. During these three years I have to learn many subjects. Some of them are Web technology, Internet programming, Software engineering etc. In my degree program I’m allowing to learn not only ICT related subjects, but also subjects like Marketing, Professional English which are related to other fields. Actually it is a good guidance to my future life. In Sri Lanka, there are so many IT companies that we can give our service and get a high salary such as Millennium IT, WSO2, Vertusa Polaris.
