My Degree,My Country & My World

I am a student of Information and Communication Technology degree program.In my childhood I had a dream to become an Engineer.But unfortunately I had to end up in here.But I love my degree. I am a undergraduate in Rajarata University Of Sri Lanka located in Mihintale,Sri Lanka.One of the most valued ancient city of Sri Lanka. But we don’t have enough facilities for our University.But we are studying on one of the most valuable subject on earth. In the today's world ICT plays the major role in every place. Because everything in the world is based on computer systems. If we go to a super market,hospital,bank or any other place everything is computerized. Because of that ICT degree holders have superb demand. But we have some issues with our degree program. We can not have a special degree from our University because we do not have a ICT department on our Applied sciences faculty. Therefore, students can miss many great opportunities in the higher-level job market.

In Sri Lanka, there are so many IT companies that we can give our service and get a high salary such as Millennium IT,WSO2,Vertusa polaris. But that’s not my idea in future. I want to create a company to make software’s to make our day-to-day works easy. From that, we can take IT to everyone in Sri Lanka. In our country we have less knowledge on technology, reason for that is we are a developing 3rd world country. In Sri lanka we have minimum resources,from those resources we can not fight with the technological world.So we have to work hard for give competition to other countries.If not other countries will take the control of our job market.So we have to give facilities to our Universities for add more value to their degrees.


In the world now we are in the AI generation. It means Artificial Intelligence now controlling our everything.Because of that lots of man hours will reduce. Companies can have minimum cost and maximum profit. In the today's world most of the countries programmed their every single activities. Because of that they can do their every work from their fingertips.We are so far from those technologies. In near future we does not want to go out from our houses for anything, everything will done by robotics.So now everything in the world is ICT. I hope I can make this world to a better world.
