My Degree, My Country and My World
I'm an undergraduate student of the
Rajarata University of Sri Lanka and I'm following Applied Science degree
program. Applied Science is a discipline that applies existing technical knowledge
to develop practical applications in fields such as technology, management,
production, or invention.
Focusing on real world practices,
applied science eschews theory for application with a particular emphasis on
workforce development in a broad interdisciplinary background preparing
students for both advanced graduate studies as well as direct participation as
leaders in the technical workforce.
In my degree program, I can improve
my knowledge and skills in various fields in Computer Science and Mathematics. An
alternate, more succinct definition of computer science is the study of
automating algorithmic processes that scale. A computer scientist specializes
in the theory of computation and the design of computational systems. Its
fields can be divided into a variety of theoretical and practical disciplines.
As well as Math we learn is applied to real-life situations, and the ability to
do it yourself with no need for a calculator makes sure you’re independent of
technological devices to a point. Also, even if it’s not necessarily math
you’re using day-to-day, it activates a part of your brain that other subjects
aren’t as adept at doing.
Anyway I think my degree is
very important to maintenance of our country and world. Finally my goal
is to complete my degree and give to my service to the world.
